Center for the Art of Performance (CAP) is UCLA's perfroming arts organization that curates and facilitates the direct exposure to the art of performance. They support acclaimed artists who create extraordinary work in the dedicated practices of contemporary dance, theater and music, in addition to emerging genres.
I worked for CAP at UCLA as a Graphic Designer work study during my last year as an undergraduate. Under the supervision of a Senior Graphic Designer and Marketing Director, I designed digital ads, flyers, posters, website assets and programs for the different performances.
The digital ads were placed in the Royce Hall lobby and other areas around the UCLA campus that had a TV monitor to advertise upcoming performances to the UCLA community.
The printed flyers had details on upcoming CAP at UCLA performances and were mailed to members and donors.
I designed the program layout with copy and images provided from CAP at UCLA. Then I printed out and binded the programs the day-of the performance.
CAP UCLA also works with UCLA students, primarily through the Student Committee which is a student organization that has been active for more than 50 years on the UCLA campus. Together they support student discounts, programming opportunities and advocacy that is generated to enhance the experiences of every UCLA student. I designed an ad used for print and digital to promote UCLA beginning-of-the-school-year events.
